IDEAS and our sister project ORCA are seeking to hire an experienced Project Coordinator.

We are seeking to appoint a Project Coordinator. The post holder will be responsible for providing efficient administrative, logistical and financial support of a portfolio of grants including, but not limited to, IDEAS and ORCA, which both have multiple overseas collaborators and complex funder requirements. The post holder will develop a good understanding of the funder terms and conditions for the projects providing sound advice and ensuring compliance to these and school policies and procedures including the Financial Regulations. The post holder will report to the Project Manager and support a team of over 20 staff, including several based overseas.

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, or substantial relevant experience, have proven experience of managing large complex grants and reporting to funders, significant experience of providing administrative / financial support for research projects, including proven ability to monitor a budget and prepare accurate costings, projections and reports, strong administration and organisational skills, ideally within a complex project environment, excellent written and oral communication skills in English. This full-time post is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation until 31st January 2021 and is available from 1st August 2019. Salary is on the Professional Support Grade 5 in the range £34,238 – £39,304 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
