Where we work

IDEAS works with partners in Ethiopia, India and Nigeria. These areas have high maternal and newborn mortality rates. Many deaths could be prevented with improved access to effective health care.

Frontline health workers are usually members of the community, who visit families where healthcare facilities are scarce, to give health advice and education. Frontline health workers can deliver the majority of care required by mothers and newborns and are families’ first point of contact with the health system.
