Neil Spicer is a Lecturer in Global Health Policy at the Department of Global Health and Development, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and has 15 years experience of qualitative health policy and systems research in the UK and low- and middle-income countries including India, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Neil has a PhD in geography from Glasgow University and is the Course Director for the MSc ‘Health Policy Planning and Financing’ run jointly by LSHTM and London School of Economics and teaches health policy analysis, sociological approaches to health and globalisation and health. Neil is currently leading a qualitative component of IDEAS to explore the scale-up and sustainability of health innovations in Ethiopia, north-east Nigeria and Uttar Pradesh State, India.
