Neil Spicer is a Lecturer in Global Health Policy at the Department of Global Health and Development, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and has 15 years experience of qualitative health policy and systems research in the UK and low- and middle-income countries including India, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Neil has a PhD in geography from Glasgow University and teaches health policy analysis, sociological approaches to health and globalisation and health. Neil is currently leading a qualitative component of IDEAS to explore the scale-up and sustainability of health innovations in Ethiopia, north-east Nigeria and Uttar Pradesh State, India.
